Before the show, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced several matches for tonight's show to determine Shinsuke Nakamura's next challenger for the United States Championship.

Nakamura was originally expected to defend the title against LA Knight tonight on SmackDown, but that will no longer be the case. Instead, there will be three separate qualifying bouts, with the winners squaring off in a Triple Threat Match on the blue brand to determine the number one contender for the United States Championship.

During the Elimination Chamber 2025 Kickoff event in Toronto, Bayley and Roxanne Perez were in a heated exchange ahead of the number one contender's chamber match tomorrow night. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez soon emerged after Morgan's evil cackle with their newly won championship belts held high. Morgan shut down Bayley and Roxanne Perez, reminding them that she's got more experience in this match than either of them.

However, she's also got momentum on her side. She brought up that they're the record-breaking three-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champions after their victory on Monday Night RAW. Michael Cole took the time to ask Liv and Raquel the important question face-to-face. Were they responsible for injuring Jade Cargill?

The Voice of the Voiceless and The Face that Runs the Place are arguably two of the most polarizing figures in wrestling history, and two of the greatest. They have been opponents for more than 100 matches and have teamed up on more than one dozen occasions. It's safe to say that Punk and Cena share mutual respect.

Punk made interesting remarks about part-time superstars during his previous run, mainly while feuding with The Rock. Speaking to Alex McCarthy of Mail Sport for a new interview, the former AEW World Champion admitted he has a different perspective on the part-time superstar discussion than he did 10 years ago as today's schedule is a lot more limited, and it's not fair to point a finger at one person and call them out for not being around.

FROM THE RUMOR MILL

Ever since he arrived, Jacob Fatu has been making an impact in WWE and it does not look like he's slowing up anytime soon. When he was part of The New Bloodline, Fatu won the tag team titles with Tama Tonga, but Solo Sikoa didn't allow him to keep it. Instead, he was made to hand it over to Tonga Loa. There was no reason given for this, but he still continued to support Sikoa, albeit there seemed to be a hint that he was going to turn on him.

Fightful Select revealed in a report recently that this was due to a plan for Fatu already being in place the whole time after his arrival. The report stated that even him sacrificing his title was part of the plan for what was going to happen with him and was part of the build that is now playing out now, with him and Solo Sikoa having tension with each other.
