Roman Reigns returns to help his biggest enemy

Inside: Cody Rhodes reveals when he will confront John Cena

RAW RUNDOWN

Seth Rollins and CM Punk went to war in another instant classic on RAW on Netflix. This time, however, it was in a steel cage match, and the camera work was mesmerizing. The two rivals kept getting the better of one another, hitting their finishers on each other, but it was not enough. There were so many incredible moments, especially when they were atop the steel cage. Neither looked interested in escaping the cage; they wanted to finish the other.

Rollins kicked out of three GTS' and multiple stomps were ineffective against CM Punk. Even a stomp by Punk onto Rollins was ineffective. A GTS+Stomp combination by Rollins onto Punk was still insufficient to put him away. Rollins picked up the win but in an unexpected way. He didn't want to escape the cage despite having the opportunity to do so. Instead, his neck was wrapped around by Roman Reigns, who took Rollins out of the cage and inadvertently helped him win.

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is the quarterback of WWE and the top superstar who is set to take on the former franchise player at WrestleMania 41. He responded to the notable absence of Cena while also revealing when they will be under the same roof.

Rhodes said that he begrudged the fact that John Cena went on to post on X during the weekend, specifically referencing one where Cena posted about having the discipline to get something done, especially when one doesn't feel like it. Cody Rhodes discussed Cena's absence and criticized him for not appearing. He then revealed that they would be together next week on RAW in Brussels, Belgium.

Last week on RAW, after Gunther defeated Otis, he continued to assault The Alpha Academy. Jey came out to their rescue and made the save. However, he was attacked from behind by Waller and Austin Theory. Jey fought them off valiantly until The Ring General snuck up on him and choked him out.

This week on the red brand, Jey faced off against Grayson Waller. The 2025 Royal Rumble winner had no problem in pinning Waller after the spear. After the match, A-Town Down Under attacked Uso in the ring, but he fought them off again and even hit the spear on Theory, which was followed by a splash. However, Gunther snuck up from behind and choked Jey out again in the ring for the second week in a row.

FROM THE RUMOR MILL

The WWE career of Shinsuke Nakamura continues to be a roller-coaster ride for the Japanese grappler. After multiple start-stop pushes, the former NXT Champion just suffered another significant loss. Sources are now responding after the latest rumors on a major shake-up for Nakamura.

Officials haven't confirmed Nakamura for WrestleMania 41, but the aforementioned rumors claimed a match with Knight on The Grandest Stage of Them All was nixed due to lack of interest. It was also claimed that WWE plans to let the Japanese star's contract expire, but no credible outlets have reported the same. It is believed his contract is due some time this year, but that is not official.
