Rhea Ripley ruined a WWE star's plans for WrestleMania accidentally; she has now been sent a warning

IYO SKY had a match against Liv Morgan where, if she had won, she would have qualified for the Elimination Chamber. However, SKY lost the match via DQ after Ripley got involved with proceedings, accidentally giving Liv Morgan the win and the automatic qualification for the Elimination Chamber match. She has since won a tag team match against Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on RAW this week, teaming with Dakota Kai. She even left Morgan injured this past Monday night. SKY cut a promo on Morgan and Ripley after her match on WWE RAW. She made it clear that she could have beaten Morgan in the qualifying match as well, but Rhea Ripley had taken that chance from her, ruining her plans for WrestleMania. She therefore had a right to challenge for Rhea Ripley's title and was not just being handed a shot at the championship.

She then sent a warning to Ripley and Morgan, telling them to keep their eyes on her. SKY could have gotten the same title shot at WrestleMania, had she been part of the Elimination Chamber match and won it. Now, she will have to beat Ripley to get the shot at WrestleMania.

LA Knight ridiculed over lack of WWE World Title wins

The Scottish Warrior could not get the job done in the Men's Royal Rumble match, but he bounced back with a win over LA Knight and Jimmy Uso last Friday on SmackDown to qualify for the Chamber in Toronto next month. But he was not done there.

Drew McIntyre slammed The Megastar, reminding fans he has never won a WWE World Title. On the other hand, the Scot has won it on three separate occasions. McIntyre shared a clip on X/Twitter, claiming that the person seen in it is a fan of Knight and that he has tattooed all of the 42-year-old's world title wins on his arm.

Roman Reigns' real-life cousin officially announces his WWE arrival

Lance Anoa'i isn't new to the sports entertainment juggernaut, as he has previously worked as an enhancement talent. WWE first introduced him on Monday Night RAW as Roman Reigns' cousin during the Tribal Chief's rivalry with Shane McMahon in 2019.

Earlier today, Lance Anoa'i took to his official Instagram handle to share a photo of himself with Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels.

TODAY IN HISTORY

1997 – Shawn Michaels forfeited the WWF Championship and cut his infamous “Lost My Smile” promo on Thursday Raw Thursday from Lowell, Massachusetts. The original creative was for Michaels to retain the WWF Title on this show against Sid in a Royal Rumble rematch, which would set up the eventual rematch between Michaels and Bret Hart at WrestleMania 13. Hart was already booked to win The Final Four elimination pay-per-view match three days later. Also on this special edition of Raw, Rocky Maivia won his first championship in the promotion by defeating Hunter Hearst Helmsley for the Intercontinental Title.

2006 – John Cena retained the WWE Championship against Edge with Mick Foley as the Special Guest Referee on WWE Raw from Greensboro, North Carolina. Bret Hart was surprisingly announced on the show as an inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2006.

2011 – Jeff Hardy retained the TNA World Heavyweight Title against Mr Anderson in the main event of TNA ‘Against All Odds’ from Orlando. Jeff Jarrett pinned Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam defeated Matt Hardy and Bully Ray defeated Brother Devon in a Street Fight.

FROM THE RUMOR MILL

Ricky Starks recently began working in the indies again, but at the time of his release, he had not worked for AEW since March 30, 2024. Tony Khan reportedly wanted to keep Starks on the roster. While Starks initially asked for his release, after months on the sidelines, he made it clear he wanted to work. AEW surprisingly released Starks, Miro, and Malakai Black this past weekend.

Starks had been rumored for a main roster arrival, perhaps even leading to a spot on the WrestleMania Vegas card. Sources in NXT, and on the main roster, just indicated to Fightful Select that creative plans related to The Grandest Stage of Them All have to do with Starks' joining the company's official third brand. There was a feeling that most of the creative directions for WrestleMania 41 were already planned, if not finalized. Therefore, the idea was that NXT would be a much more fluid stage for working Starks into the mix.
