The Viper has been looking for an opponent since Kevin Owens backed out of their WrestleMania 41 match due to a neck injury. Many WWE fans have thrown Nick Aldis' name around as a last-minute opponent after The Apex Predator nailed the SmackDown General Manager with an RKO. Orton made his intentions clear that if Aldis fails to provide him an opponent, he wouldn't apologize to Mickie James for what he would do to him.
Earlier today, Randy Orton revealed that he will issue an open challenge for the 20th time competing at The Showcase of the Immortals. He also sent another warning to Aldis, saying he wouldn't mind giving him another RKO if he didn't get an opponent on SmackDown this Friday.
 It was reported earlier today on Sportskeeda's WrestleVotes Radio that Rusev's return to WWE had been fast-tracked and that it would happen sooner than expected. Big E was part of the Fanatics Live stream with Tyler Breeze. They were pulling wrestling cards for fans, and during that, they came across a signed edition of the Rusev card. When E saw that, he lit up immediately and started to talk about the news. The former WWE Champion said there had been rumors of him returning and that he'd reached out to the Bulgarian Brute. He confirmed that the former AEW star was wrestling again and would be back in WWE. |  For fans of WWE, Hornswoggle is a familiar name. Though he may not be associated with the best matches, he was part of some of the most unforgettable segments and storylines in the company's history. He was released in May 2016, and now, it appears that WWE has decided to call him back for WrestleMania. Hornswoggle, aka Dylan Postl, has talked about how after his release from the company in 2016, he never thought that he would return and that his dream run was over. However, he said that with this being WrestleMania week, he had been contacted by WWE and asked to be part of it. |

The Man's last in-ring encounter was on the May 27, 2024 episode of Monday Night RAW. She failed to defeat Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship in a Steel Cage Match. After being on hiatus for over six months, Lynch has not yet returned to the squared circle. However, she reportedly signed a new deal with WWE earlier this year.
Speaking on The Hump, Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp reported the reason behind Big Time Becks' delayed return. He revealed that WWE had a creative idea for her in January that ultimately did not come to fruition, though the specific nature of the pitch remained unknown.
WHAT COULD BE NEXT?
WWE built a compelling storyline around Orton and Owens that was ready to take center stage at WrestleMania 41. However, The Prizefighter announced earlier this month that he could not compete at the event due to a neck injury.
Randy Orton is now looking for an opponent for a match at The Show of Shows. Nick Aldis and Solo Sikoa appear to be the two obvious choices for The Viper heading into ‘Mania. However, Triple H could pick another top name to face his long-time friend at the show.
