Jey Uso's WrestleMania 41 choice confirmed after brutal attack

Jey Uso came out and did the usual encore of his theme song because the crowd loved him so much. However, his celebration was cut short by World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, who told him last week that facing Jey at WrestleMania does nothing for his legacy. He said that since the choice isn't his, he would need a reason to make their rivalry worth something.

This was probably what he was talking about as Gunther swept Jey Uso from the top of the announce desk and brutally attacked him - including a powerbomb in the ring. Jey Uso then announced that he would be facing Gunther at WrestleMania 41.

Mami cost IYO SKY a spot in the Women's Elimination Chamber match last week on the red brand after she attacked Liv Morgan during a qualifying match. The Judgment Day member won the bout via DQ. The Genius of the Sky was not happy at all, as she was disappointed that such a big opportunity was taken away from her due to someone else's actions. Rhea Ripley seemingly felt bad as well.

On WWE RAW this week, the Women's World Champion told IYO SKY backstage that she didn't owe her anything. She said she wasn't going to give the latter a title shot because she had to, but she'd give her one because she wanted to. Rhea Ripley then mentioned that she spoke to Adam Pearce and in three weeks on the RAW after Elimination Chamber, it would be both of them competing for the coveted title on RAW.I

Liv Morgan was busted open during a tag team match on the latest episode of WWE RAW. She teamed up with Raquel Rodriguez to take on Damage CTRL.

IYO SKY entered and hit Liv Morgan with a few uppercuts and a dropkick. She wiped out both heels with a suicide dive and took out Morgan with a missile dropkick. IYO then went for the Over-the-Moonsault and stopped Liv, who had her legs up. Liv and Raquel hit the Japanese star with a double-team move, but she kicked it. Morgan was busted open during the match, and she was on the mat for some time. However, that didn't stop her from carrying on. IYO SKY won the match for her team after delivering her Over The Moonsault.

After failing at ridding WWE of its “luchador problem”, Chad Gable announced that he was headed to see a mystery man at a secret address in Mexico, given to him by Dominik Mysterio, to try and master the dark arts of lucha libre. Now, there are more details on what the hiatus might include, and this could be the vehicle for another instance of WWE's forbidden door campaign.

World Wrestling Entertainment first partnered with AAA in 1997, and sources indicate that the partnership may restart. Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live adds that there's talk that Gable will head to Mexico to work a few dates for the historic Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide promotion. Sources reported in mid-2024 that AAA and NX were discussing a partnership.
