Cody Rhodes confirms WrestleMania main event during WWE RAW
Inside: Asuka update and more

RAW RUNDOWN

John Cena turned heel after winning the Men's Elimination Chamber match to earn a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania. He aligned with The Rock and unleashed a brutal attack on The American Nightmare at the PLE on March 1.
During their promo tonight on RAW, Rhodes listed all of his faults, including a slight lisp, and that he used to be Stardust, and got booed in a company he created (a reference to All Elite Wrestling). Cody Rhodes suggested that it must bother John Cena to be facing him at WrestleMania, and noted that their match would be going on last, confirming that it will headline The Show of Shows.
![]() A former champion made a surprise return to WWE on the latest episode of RAW. Tyler Bate returned from injury and competed in a tag team match with his partner, Pete Dunne. This was his first match since the July 2, 2024, episode of NXT. The former NXT UK Champion was out of action for nearly nine months as he sustained a torn left pectoral major muscle and tendon. The star made a surprise return to the ring in his home country of England on this week's WWE RAW. He and The Bruiserweight, known as the New Catch Republic, faced The New Day in a tag team match, which they lost. Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne were interviewed backstage by Jackie Redmond, and the former gave an update on his condition. | ![]() Red was the entire color on RAW as Gunther faced and defeated Jimmy Uso. A victory wasn't enough, however, as he needed to make him pay for the slap he received last week while also making a statement to Jey Uso. As a result, he launched a post-match attack. Despite Jey making the save, the Ring General ambushed him and put him in a zip tie so he could watch what he did to his brother. The Austrian brute beat Jimmy Uso to a bloody pulp and took it a step further as he tasted his blood right in front of Jey Uso. |
FROM THE RUMOR MILL
Asuka has been recovering from a knee injury. There's no word on whether she has been medically cleared to return to the ring, but she was reportedly discussed for a tag team match at WrestleMania 41. It looks like her rumored return plans have been nixed. PWNexus is now reporting that Asuka will likely return sometime in May, with a likely date slated for RAW after Backlash.
If the recent report is anything to go by, then the Damage CTRL member will miss WrestleMania for the first time in seven years. Aside from her injury, Asuka has had a rough start to 2025. She recently faced trouble dealing with some creepy fans making romantic advances.
